Villa Park Prohibits Construction on Sundays, but Gardening May Continue 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

VILLA PARK — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL REPORT. Villa Park’s noise rules distinguish noisy construction from gardening and limit construction to weekdays and Saturdays, with no construction work on Sundays.

When work may occur

The city lists Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for construction and gardening. On Sundays, gardening may continue 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but construction is not permitted.

Federal holidays are another exception

The city says no work is allowed on federal holidays under its municipal construction-hours reminder. Contractors should review the underlying ordinance before arranging holiday crews.

How to report a recurring problem

Villa Park Code Enforcement works on complaints. Residents can call City Hall at 714-998-1500 and describe the address, type of work and dates rather than confronting crews in unsafe conditions.
