VILLA PARK — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL REPORT. Villa Park’s Building and Safety office says applications submitted on or after January 1, 2026 must comply with the updated 2025 Building Code.

Work still needs local review

The Building Department collects development and permit fees, issues building permits and inspects construction for compliance with building, plumbing and electrical standards.

Who should check

Homeowners planning additions, kitchen work, ADUs, significant electrical changes or other construction should ask which permits and plans are required. A statewide building-code cycle does not mean every project is automatically allowed under local zoning.

Office-hours limitation

Villa Park’s main website lists Building staff hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. Contact permits@villapark.org or 714-998-1500 before bringing an application in person.
